Pop Up Shop Workshops 30-05-2011

Overground are running loads of FREE creative workshops at the Green Festival Pop Up Shop.

The shop, which is a collaboration between Blok Collective, Eastern Angles, Opportunity Peterborough, and the Peterborough Environment City Trust, will be open from the 30th May until the 7th June. We aim to showcase what can be done with empty properties when you let a bunch of artists loose in them, and also to make the Arts in Peterborough more visible.

We have also received fantastic support from the Handmade In Peterborough group, who have organised all of the high quality local craft items that are for sale in the shop.

The workshops will be running daily, a full list including times, is available on the Pop Up Facebook page, and also in the event section of this website. Other groups will be providing workshops in addition to the Overground session, for which a small donation is charged to cover material costs.

Blok Collective have installed a jungle at the back of the shop, yes that's right a jungle... more info about that will be up here in another news post soon, but if you can't wait until then, just 'pop in' and ask one of the shop crew what it's all about.
